Great acting by Deannie Yip. The movie have the feel of an arty film kind of commercial. Rather touching story. Yip is a loyal servant to Andy Lau family for 5 generations. Now she is serving Andy only as the family migrated to USA.

He is a movie producer and one day leaving to Beijing. Two days later he return but Yip is unconscious at home. She suffer stroke. Knowing she is unable to care for Andy, she decide to retire and move to old folks home.

Andy went around to find a good one and chosen one that is own by his old friend Anthony Wong. Yip move in and is quite taken aback by the other old people there and the gloomy atmosphere. But she settle down fast.

Going for her physiotherapy she gradually improve her movement. Paul Chun is a happy cheerful resident. Andy will visit Yip whenever he is free. One day his mother return to visit Yip as well and make bird nest and give her money.

Yip can walk without walking stick. Andy bring her home and she is happy to see the pet cat. Looking through her belongings, everything seems to be of memory sake. Paul will frequently borrow money from her and other old folks.

Andy is going to vacant a rental home for Yip to stay until death. During Chinese New Year, Yip is alone with few others in the home, unable to join the family in USA. Andy's brother is going to have a newborn soon.

Yip suffer bile infection. Andy pray she will be alright and survive to see the newborn. She survive and visit the family, and also in the family portrait. Paul borrow money from Andy and he saw him visit prostitute.

When he want to borrow from Yip, Andy expose his secret. But Yip is alright with his habit and says he is old, let him do while he still can enjoy. She is down with another stroke again and it is bad this time round.

She passed away naturally and peacefully. At her wake, Paul visited and brought flowers.
