Review of A Simple Life (2012) by Steve W — 01 May 2012
A Simple Life is about Ah Tao, a maid for a family for sixty years. She suffers a stroke and retires, and finds herself re-connecting with her god-son Roger as it becomes his turn to take care of her. A bit overlong and slow at times, it evens it up with humour and a simple plot.
I only watched it because of Andy Lau, and this may be his only movie where he doesn't get intense and shouts at people.
