Review of A Shot in the Dark (1964) by Stephan V — 26 Mar 2008
Interesting as a chronicle of the development of Sellers and Clouseau, but I was surprised to discover that this film is actually mostly not that funny anymore. Even hard to watch at times. It takes more character to make an audience laugh these days - just falling into pools doesn't cut it.
He - and Blake Edwards - got more refined down the line.
