Review of A Shot in the Dark (1964) by Matthew L — 07 Jun 2012
After the Pink Panther easily the best film of the series, Sellers is still perfecting the role whilst the film introduces franchise mainstays Inspector Dreyfuss and Kato/Cato. Without the burden of the 'pink panther' name in the title this is a great stand alone film in the series that can be watched by anyone without the need for explanation as to who is who and how all these elements connect together.
A riot from beginning to end with some wonderful moments that set the comedy benchmark at a high that many films struggle to reach to this day.
