Review of A Short Film About Love (1988) by Lucy W — 17 Jan 2013
An extremely beautiful, poetic and subtle tale about love, voyeurism and even manipulation. The chaste affection Tomek feels for Magda (expecting nothing in return, as he firmly points out in a great scene) is almost redeeming; at the end, it is the promiscuous and skeptical Magda who begins to experience the same love and obsession Tomek had for her.
One of the most pure and marvellous films I ever saw.
