Review of A Serious Man (2009) by David F — 01 Apr 2011
A brilliant throng of emotionally galvanizing (and unexpected) scenes strung together to form a slightly sadistic, yet ultimately introspectively rewarding film. Trepid in it's delivery, yet staunch in it's profound themes, this is easily the best Coen brothers picture to date.
Despite it's heart-heavy grievous nature, there is an uplifting golden gem spinning around in the Tornado that is 'A Serious Man' A must see if there was ever such a thing.
