It's definitely hard to forget some images - most of them easily the most disturbing I've ever seen - but this is another typical case of an horror drama that uses de "shock value" as a gimmick, instead of using it as a machinery for the plot, like "Martyrs".
It is brutal, it is obvious, it is disturbing, it is lazy and it is better watch it with nothing on your estomach. Simply bad taste with a kind of more disturbing end.
