Review of A Serbian Film (2010) by Andrew D — 08 Apr 2011
Obviously one of the most twisted films of ever made. Well-shot and acted with a compelling premise, expanding upon and progressing the Hostel series. It starts out slow - the first half hour is repetitive exposition. The story can be obvious and predictable, the score ranges from awful to interestingly catchy, and I'm not sure if it's exploitation or satire. If you want to be shocked by something you've never seen before, see A Serbian Film. It's a boundary-pushing descent into hell, filled with evil, lust, and even black comedy. Only for lovers of extreme cinema.
7.5/10.
