Quite possibly the most nasty, provocative and perversely shocking film ever made. That said, within five minutes you realize that it's not just exploitation. A child is watching porn. What does that say about a society? Continuously throughout, the filmmakers want us to question what it is we are watching.

Much has been said about the social commentary regarding Serbian society. I do believe there is an intelligent point of view here. However, at times the script relies on taking the easy way out. It's certainly no Kusturica's Underground.

The disturbing sexual content would probably make a serial killer extremely happy. What surprised me though, is that I actually liked the main protagonist. The premise is also fascinating and they do a good job in creating suspense.

However, the director makes a bit of a cop out regarding the drugged black-out and flashback device. Still, the film has quite the effective climax. Not an easy film to recommend but for those who are compelled towards critical opinion using VERY extreme storytelling then this is the horror film for you.
