Review of A Serbian Film (2010) by Maybelline T — 17 May 2013

Beyond what I call "sanity". This is the type of experience that is in that broad end of the spectrum you never hope to visit again. When I had first heard about the movie, I wanted to make sure that I was in the right mindset before I watched it.

.. so I waited about 3-4 weeks. Without spoilers, I sat down and began to appreciate the fact that it was totally subtitled. The sense of what was being communicated purely visually was pretty overwhelming.

.. essentially you could understand what was going on in the movie without actually having to read the subtitles. That being said, it was more impactful in some parts, so much so that I had to pause and seriously just sit there for a moment and reflect on what I had just seen.
