Review of A Separation (2011) by Gerhard J — 27 Mar 2013
I love foreign films especially because most of them are low budget and focus on simple story telling. A Separation is one of the best middle-Eastern film I have seen (alongside Paradise Now). It is a well-acted and fast-paced story.
Set in contemporary Iran, the film is a social commentary on moral and religious issues in Iran, as well as depicting class and gender divisions in society.
