Review of A Separation (2011) by Tanvir M — 01 May 2014
Farhadi is a master of exposing how fragile our societal relationships are in the face of crisis, and yet again he demonstrates it in this immaculate piece of dramatic film making, which has been fashioned like a thriller.
Deserving winner of Foreign film Oscar (first time for an Iranian film), this will keep the viewer occupied long after the last shot has been viewed (of an all too realistic pending resolution of a crucial issue).
Cinema at its best.
