Review of A Scanner Darkly (2006) by Brad Z — 24 Sep 2009

Keeps you riveted for a while but then takes a turn to the mundane that you go along with because you expect that it is building toward an ending that the beginning deserves butit kinda just ends. If not for the initial engrossment in a storyline that promises to be life-changingly mind-blowing (but ends up only leaving you with the impression of the first half and nothing to fill that impression in with) and the engaging characters, this would be a a very dull movie.
