Review of A Scanner Darkly (2006) by Adam R — 30 Dec 2011
The animation serves well to tell the story, but the screenplay does not make you feel the paranoia and craziness that the story is meant to transmit. The acting surprises, especially Keanu Reeves, but there are aspects of the character that are not fully explored.
The middle part of the movie seems that goes without a direction and it makes the ending feel inconclusive, when it could have been surprising and heartbreaking.
