Tantalizing futuristic zeal and a gorgeous use of cell-shading give an anti-authoritarian liberty to Philip K. Dick's dystopian vision, mulling the appropriate weights of addiction and government with an uncertain clarity mirrored further by perhaps Downey's best performance.
