Review of A Room with a View (1986) by Christine R — 29 Jun 2010
Loved this one. Helena Bonham Carter is amazing as Lucy Honeychurch an English girl seemingly on the path of least resistance (boring marriage to a dull guy) when she encounters George. Life is turned upside down by a kiss in a barley field in Florence. If only it could be that easy for her. Though she tries to resist, she in the end gives in and accepts the Room with a View.
I also loved seeing Daniel Day Lewis as Cecil the boring fiance. So not his typical role.
