Review of A Room for Romeo Brass (1999) by Phil J — 04 Jul 2007
I was a bit disappointed by this, having seen Dead Man's Shoes (which is excellent) and This is England (which is good), this had something missing for me. Paddy Considine puts in an outstanding performance with the most mental accent I've ever heard and the style is very much akin to the usual Shane Meadows genre.
Just wasn't enough to make me say 'wow' and I'm still not sure why Gavin's dad gets on his knees???
