Review of A Room for Romeo Brass (1999) by Brian R — 07 Oct 2008
Having known my fair share of Nottingham psychopaths, I feel confident in saying that Paddy Considine's performance as "bloody gizoid" Morrell is spot on. Even more astounding though are the two young leads Andrew Shim and Ben Marshall who are incredibly assured yet naturalistic in their roles.
Shane Meadows pulls it all together and creates a perfect blend of comedy and poignant (and at times shockingly violent) drama. The soundtrack is great too.
