If you want action and adventure, this isnt really it, but its one of the most beautiful, inspirational movies ever. Tom Skerrit and Brad Pitt do so well. The narratives from the book about the metaphors of the river, the rocks and time, life and death are superb.
The book is a little strange and hard to follow, but contains these glistening treasures. Worth a read.
