Review of A River Runs Through It (1992) by Natalie Wages Peace — 26 Nov 2008
My rating may be a bit unfair because I saw this as a child, long before I had a critical eye. but I can remember going to bed after watching and thinking, "Wow, that was so beautiful! I want to see it again and again, forever.".
Of course now, robert redford is one of my filmmaking heroes, and I have no guilt about being floored by a film during a time when I was unable to even understand everything that went on within the story. I have no doubt that if I watch this as a filmmaker and now, as a critical adult, I would probably have the same reaction.
