Review of A Respectable Family (2012) by Alan W — 14 Oct 2012
Perhaps burdened with heightened expectations following A Separation last year, this Iranian drama is worth seeing but fails to land any knock-out blows. Brainpower is needed to work out who is who, leaving perhaps little energy or inclination to decide what happens after the sudden black screen ending - the 3rd such LFF 2012 film to employ this closure "technique".
