Review of A Quiet Place (2018) by Shannon T — 20 Apr 2018
I normally avoid horror movies because I'm way too sensitive and I can't handle being subjected to that level of fear in a closed in space from which I cannot easily flee, but after having read a bunch of compelling reviews, I decided to feel the fear and do it anyway, and I am SO glad I did.
This film was suspenseful and stressful, but was also emotional and touching (I cried only two single tears, one from each eye, but they were big fat ones), not to mention beautifully written, acted and shot. The scary moments were not unbearable and had sort of a, "Stranger Things" kind of vibe that made it incredibly entertaining.
Two snaps and a twist!
