Review of A Quiet Place (2018) by Wael — 17 Apr 2018
With a premise so original that alludes so much "Bird Box" vibes, "A Quiet Place" succeeds at being undoubtedly nerve-racking. Everything becomes ten times jumpier, and scarier, when silence is taking over.
The film never fails to build up the tension, and the suspense, keeping you on the edge of your seat, and it concludes so epically (before you know it, the credits will start to roll), with so many open questions.
Of course, Krasinki's direction is so masterful that it's hard to believe it's his first, and the performances from the whole cast (especially Emily Blunt's exceptional take on the role) are excellent.
One of the best horror movies I've ever watched, "A Quiet Place" is an absolute joyride.
