Review of A Quiet Place (2018) by Drew B — 03 Nov 2018
In an era of noisy blockbusters, it's nice to settle down and be quiet for a change...and actually have it important to the plot. The sound design is great, the performances are amazing with John Krasinski actually having a really good shot at becoming a director, the effects look amazing for a movie with a 20M$ budget (of course, this is ILM we're talking about here) and it's tense.
A Quiet Place serves as both a tense creature feature and a well-acted and well-directed metaphor on family and the sacrifices you're willing to make for them.
