I absolutely loved this movie. With subtle details such as the use of sign language and the use of sand this film takes on a brilliant sense of realism. Combined with heartfelt perfirmances by real life married couple John Krasinski and Emily Blunt, as well as Millicent Simmonds a common film plot becomes something much more than its predecessors.
A movie about family set to the backdrop of a thrilling invasion tale. A fantastic score by Marco Beltrami really sets the tone for the soft unexpected touching moments and the gripping heart pounding creature scenes.
