Brutal, gripping and sympathetic all at the same time - this movie somehow manages to walk the tightrope between violent action thriller and psychological thriller, with even a fair bit of understated sociological commentary thrown in for good measure.
Excellent, and well worth 2 1/2 hours of subtitles.
