Review of A Place in the Sun (1951) by William M — 07 Jul 2007
George Stevens best film happens to be this one. Dealing with the heavy issues of unwanted pregnancy and affairs, this film was riddled with heavy material during its time of release. The cast of Monty Clift and the nineteen-year-old Taylor was responsible for launching them into stardom.
Clift was a man full of turmoil and it really comes accross in this film. One of the great love stories ever.
