Review of A Place in the Sun (1951) by Paavo L — 17 Dec 2008
A classic tale that has since inspired numerous imitations, A Place In The Sun was technically a remake itself. But it is this version rather than 1931's An American Tragedy that has stood the test of time.
The film features one of Montgomery Clift's best performances, and was pivotal in Elizabeth Taylor's career.
