Review of A Place in the Sun (1951) by James H — 16 Aug 2009
George Stevens does an amazing job directing this incredible film. This is one of Montgomery Clift's finest performances, if not his best. Shelley Winters is absolutely amazing - one of my favorite performances of all time.
Elizabeth Taylor is breathtaking. Amazing cinematography, the extreme close-ups are so effective. The whole film just clicks and works so well.
