Review of A Perfect World (1993) by Matthew L — 26 May 2008
Unforgettable story of an escaped convict who kidnaps then befriends a young boy. This is a story of modern manhood and attempting to live a life of respect. Clint Eastwood's direction is clever in a pivotal scene near the end when Butch (Kevin Costner) reaches to retrieve something from his pocket - the camera pans to an unnecessary police presence, and the audience begins to feel for all members present at the showdown.
I love this movie. In my all-time top 10 for films from the 1990s. A+.
