Review of A Perfect World (1993) by Spike M — 04 Jul 2009
This was a heartwarming and yet wrenching tale of an unlikely friendship formed when an escaped convict takes a young boy hostage. Almost immediately he takes on the role of protector of his young hostage and the bond grows between the two as they run from the U.
S. Marshals that will stop at nothing to bring the fugitive to justice. While the film focuses more on the characters than the action, it still does an excellent job of holding the viewers interest throughout.
Costner and Eastwood do a good job of portraying realistic characters and do well at dimming the solid black and white portrayal of good and bad.
