Review of A Perfect Murder (1998) by Clay B — 19 May 2011
This is a guilty pleasure and although it lacks the soul of Hitchcocks "Dial M For Murder" it makes up for it in the delicious play off between Michal Douglas and Viggo Mortensen. In terms of performance Douglas outshines Paltrow in every scene they share (she is hopelessly miscast in this) and he revels in the absurdity of it all.
Ably directed by Andrew Davis and executed with some dry wit, this murder is nothing if not a good 2 hour distraction.
