Review of A Perfect Getaway (2009) by Dov D — 18 Sep 2013
I caught this movie on television at one in the morning on a weeknight, so I definitely wasn't expecting much... What I got astonished me, especially coming from a director who usually makes films as straightforward as the Riddick trilogy.
Despite that, David Twohy's A Perfect Getaway delivers one of the bigger twists in suspense films in the past decade. After the first hour, you think you have this film figured out, but then it takes a sudden, completely unexpected twist, leading to a chilling climax.
Timothy Olyphant gives one of the best performances I've seen from a film like this in years. Bottom line, I'd recommend this movie to any suspense fan, it's a fun ride.
