Review of A Perfect Day (2015) by Jubal E — 15 Jan 2016
This is an interesting movie. It is driven by good dialogue and a simple plot made difficult by the perennially impotent, but frustrating U.N. It's a couple of days in the life of some aid workers, set in the forgotten conflict of the Balkans. It's worth watching.
There is a funny group of lines: "If she writes a terrible report about us... we have to go home. What then? Who helps the people then? You even think about that? No! You're being selfish. You gotta fuck her... for the Bosnian people." They are talking about Olga Kurylenko, that shouldn't require that much convincing.
