Review of A Perfect Day (2015) by Dorothy L — 22 Feb 2018
Beautiful, ballsy, smart, and funny. Not since Captain Fantastic have I seen a film this affecting. I am embarrassed that this one went under my radar as long as it did because this is powerful stuff. A Perfect Day reminded me so much of David O.
Russell's fearless Three Kings because it is a wartime film that isn't preachy, gratuitous, or sappy but instead snarky, hilarious, and fun. The direction, acting, writing and even soundtrack are all flawless in their oddness which creates an overall tone that makes for a perfect movie.
