Review of À Nous la Liberté (1931) by Barbara H — 10 Jul 2006
A satire of industrial society, the film is fascinating for the way it toes the line between the silent and sound eras. There is dialogue and music, but Clair uses many conventions of silent film to move the story forward.
Dated, but ultimately charming.
