Review of À Nous la Liberté (1931) by Samuel D — 23 Jul 2007
A charming precursor to Chaplin's Modern Times (in fact, I believe there was a lawsuit against Chaplin regarding how similar these films are). I just found the entire film being so stylishly devised - every scene seemed so alive and intoxicating.
Some may have a difficulty relating to the slapstick-ness of it but I thought it was highly charming.
