Review of A Nightmare on Elm Street: The Dream Child (1989) by Tammi C — 12 Apr 2009
A hideous film, The Dream Child, while visually impressive, is a lame attempt at cashing in on the Nightmare on Elm Street franchise. Even Robert Englund himself seems bored with this film throughout and it doesn't help that most of the cast couldn't be bothered with making any effort at trying to act interested.
While Stephen Hopkins is a very good director it would be difficult for Steven Spielberg to turn this crappy script into a decent film. As far as Nightmare sequels go, this is pretty much as bad as it gets if you haven't seen Freddy's Revenge.
