Review of A Nightmare on Elm Street: The Dream Child (1989) by Matt G — 22 Oct 2017
After the useless "Dream Master", this one gets the series back on track by returning to the original's personality of teens trying to figure out a mystery, all the while being terrorized.
The lore and rules are completely incomprehensible at this point, making it hard to follow and get your claws into. However, the death scenes are great: practical sets and effects, stylish cinematography, and a well-balanced use of cartoonishness and terror.
Far from the best of the series, but still an energetic little nightmare.
