Review of A Nightmare on Elm Street 4: The Dream Master (1988) by Andrew E — 10 Oct 2010
A very poor entry in the franchise. Freddy's defeat at the end is visually impressive and the roach motel sequence is great silly fun but nothing in this movie is frightening! At this point Freddy really had become something else as a character and in my opinion this one and part 6 are the worst for his quips.
But once again as with part 2 this movie has some stunning visual effects and really engaging camera angles but the cast and script are sub standard, Tuesday Knight in particular is a low point.
