Review of A Nightmare on Elm Street 4: The Dream Master (1988) by Chris W — 21 Jul 2010
I enjoyed this one. The special effects were cool and the storyline was great as well. The idea of the girl taking all the abilities of the people to defeat freddy and build her own confidence level was great.
The crazy nightmares keep getting more freaky and disturbing with each film. I like how they all have psychological ideas put into them. How Brooke Theiss' character stepped on a bug and now she becomes one, or how the water bed becomes joe's death bed.
Renny Harlin directs which I have seen many of his films and even though sometimes they do not gross money at the box office (this one did) he still always does a good job.
