Review of A Nightmare on Elm Street 3: Dream Warriors (1987) by Matt V — 06 Feb 2011
The third installment and the second sequel in the dream shattering franchise, Dream Warriors brings you back to what made the original a smash hit. The storyline is perfect, bringing back the one person who faced Freddy and defeated him, Nancy.
The most exciting thing about this third go-around is the surviving group of people decide to fight back by becoming whatever they wanted to in their dreams and by facing Freddy one-on-one. There are lots of scares and the character of Freddy is returned to his old dream-killing self, rather than the cold-blooded killer in part 2, Freddy's Revenge.
The backstory of Freddy is also quite chilling and entertaining at the same time. Heather Langenkamp returns as Nancy and is better than ever feeling the most at home in this horrifying sequel that mirrors the original.
