Review of A Night at the Roxbury (1998) by Jordan K — 08 Nov 2012
One would think a film based on a SNL skit successful enough to be given film treatment would be a winning formula, but it's not so in this poor '90s effort by Will Ferrell, who went on to better things, and done-better-things producer Amy Heckerling (Clueless, Fast Times at RIdgemont High).
Unfunny apart save for perhaps one or two gags and stretched to barely feature-length running time, Roxbury as a film feels like an idea no sensible person should have had.
