Review of A Night at the Opera (1935) by Jesse K — 08 Jun 2007
This film is always the first one on my mind when asked that age old question, ?If you could only watch one move for the rest of your life what would it be?? It is the Marx brothers at there best full of historical back talk from Groucho, weird insinuations from Chico, and the best Mime work in cinema from Harpo?oh yeah Zeppo was there too.
The comedic timing of the Brothers is impeccable, and it should be since they rehearsed every shtick in the move for a year on the road. If you are looking to watch a movie that has some of the best laugh of its century and just a little bit of love story than I can recommend no other move than A Night At The Opera.
