Time hasn't been that kind to The Marx Brothers. A re-evaluation sees this as not the masterpiece that many used to proclaim that it was. Yes, the comedy is ground-breaking and at times it is very funny, but as a movie it is annoying and shambolic with some tedious musical interludes.
