Review of A Night at the Opera (1935) by Paul N — 01 Jan 2009
While this does have some truly classic moments scattered throughout, the idea of tacking a romance and songs onto a Marx Brothers jokefest just slows the whole thing down, and removes the zing those previous films had.
It's still funny, but all the harp and piano playing and opera singing just stops the film dead.
