Review of A Night at the Opera (1935) by Rory D — 27 Aug 2009
This is actually the first marx bros. film I've seen in entierty, and I look forward to their others. Whether its the terrific slap-stick, genius one-liners, or delicious sight gags, A Night at the opera should find it's way to any comedy lovers heart. Quoteable and watchable again and again. You can see it's influence on numerous other comedies.

Steward: yes, sir.
Groucho: well, give 'em some coffee, that'll sober 'em up.
"I saw Mrs. Claypool first. Of course, her mother really saw her first but there's no point in bringing the Civil War into this".
Herbert Gottlieb: [to Mrs. Claypool] All of New York will be under your feet!
Otis B. Driftwood: [lifting the tablecloth] Well, there's plenty of room.
