Review of A Night at the Opera (1935) by Jamie T — 29 Jan 2010
"Last night, I counted five thousand sheep in those three beds, so I had to have another bed to sleep in. You wouldn't want me to sleep with the sheep, would you?".
This is one of the funniest films I've ever seen. The precision, wit, and excecution of the comedy in A Night at the Opera is simply astounding. I loved how such risque material (for the time) was snuck past the censors; Groucho's monologues are hilarious. The Marx Brothers were really something special; I look forward to seeing more of their work.
