Review of A Night at the Opera (1935) by Christopher S — 12 Feb 2012
Although Night at the Opera has some funny moments, a lot of the wit and slapstick hit and miss. The film is mostly brought down by its abherence to formula; the plot is so bare and its characters so cardboard, but instead of hiding it, the movie forces the audience to endure uninspired dancing, singing, and paper thin romance.
