Yes, I know that Elaine May was not pleased with the outcome of the film--but everyone in my family adores this unusual film. A true classic comedy--and with a moving edge. Seen it dozens of times, will probably see it another dozen.
My favorite little known scene: Matthau courts a woman who pulls off her bra, he freaks out and says " No please don't let them out!" Hilarious.
